Upon arriving at Srinagar Airport, our representative will greet you and take you to your houseboat. After refreshing yourself, begin your tour of Srinagar’s iconic Mughal Gardens. First, visit Nishat Bagh, also called the ‘Garden of Pleasure,’ built in 1633 by Mughal King Asif Khan. Next, explore Shalimar Bagh, the ‘Garden of Love,’ built in 1619 by Emperor Jehangir for his beloved wife, Noor Jehan. Enjoy the serene beauty of these historic gardens before retiring for the night at your hotel or houseboat in Srinagar.Note: Hotel/houseboat check-in is after 2:00 PM. After breakfast, set off for a full-day excursion to Gulmarg, a breathtaking hill station at an altitude of 2,652 meters (8,700 ft). Renowned for its rolling meadows and wildflowers, Gulmarg was discovered by a Kashmiri poet in the 16th century. During winter, the region transforms into India’s premier ski resort. If you wish, you can take the famous Gondola Cable Car (optional) that ascends to Kongdori and further up to the Apharwat Peak (14,000 ft), offering stunning views of the Himalayas. After an exciting day, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Pahalgam, also known as ‘The Valley of Shepherds’ and a paradise for trekkers. Located at an altitude of 2,133 meters, Pahalgam is a favorite filming location for the Indian film industry. En route, visit the Awantipura Ruins and the beautiful Saffron Fields. As you drive through dense pine forests along the Lidder River, take in the breathtaking views. Spend the day exploring the charm of Pahalgam before heading back to Srinagar in the evening for an overnight stay at a houseboat or hotel.
After an early breakfast, visit the famous Shankaracharya Temple, offering a panoramic view of Srinagar. Later, proceed to the airport for your onward journey, carrying with you wonderful memories of Kashmir.
